The French Occupation

By Paul Rowe
Directed by Donna Butt
Developed by Rising Tide Theatre in partnership with the Trinity Historical Society

This unique and powerful experience takes place in the historical Lester Garland House, next to the theatre. Based on the happenings in 1762 when Trinity surrendered to the French for 10 days. This interpretative play captures both the era itself and the colourful, often times larger than life characters that made those 10 days what they were. It’s quite a mix with merchants, Frenchmen, and servants all caught up in the rather unusual “occupation”.
