Set in a small 1940s schoolhouse, the premiere of this intimate two-actor play follows an encounter between A.P. Herbert, a British Parliamentarian who visited Newfoundland to report on its economic future, and a young school teacher with strong opinions on the matter. On a cold windy night in that tiny room a determined young woman finds her voice and Mr. Herbert learns that the story of Newfoundland is more than facts and figures as two people from vastly different worlds leave a lasting impression on each other and on a report to the British Parliament.
