Each summer, Rising Tide Theatre invites audiences to experience live performance in the historic town of Trinity through our annual Seasons in the Bight festival. Since 1978, the company has been dedicated to bringing stories to life that reflect the history, culture, and evolving identity of Newfoundland and Labrador, while also embracing contemporary voices and new work.
The Seasons in the Bight 2026 festival continues this tradition with a diverse and engaging lineup of productions presented across multiple spaces in and around Trinity. From our Main Stage productions, which feature bold storytelling and a range of theatrical styles, to performances in secondary and outdoor spaces, the season offers audiences a variety of ways to experience live theatre.
This year’s programming includes original Newfoundland plays, contemporary Canadian works, and a celebrated Broadway musical, alongside the long-running Shenanigans: Dinner Theatre, a lively and welcoming evening of food, music, and comedy. The season also features immersive outdoor performances that invite audiences to explore the streets of Trinity while engaging with the stories that have shaped the place.
