IGNITE & UNITE: AN EVENING OF MUSIC, STORIES, AND
COMMUNITY
Peter Halley, Shelley Neville, and Petrina Bromley are proud
townies, devoted Newfoundlanders, and beloved performers who
have been delighting audiences for more than three decades.
As members of the renowned Spirit of Newfoundland Productions,
they have helped shape the cultural landscape of Newfoundland
and Labrador through their artistry, humour, and heartfelt
storytelling.
Accomplished singers, musicians, teachers, playwrights,
producers, and actors, their collective talents are as diverse as
they are impressive. Despite maintaining demanding professional
schedules—including performances in the fourth season of the
acclaimed Come From Away – You Are Here in Gander—they
remain deeply committed to sharing their love of music and
community wherever they go.
Returning to Rising Tide Theatre, a place that holds a special
place in each of their hearts, Peter, Shelley, and Petrina will
present an evening filled with favourite songs, laughter, and
stories gathered over a lifetime of remarkable experiences.
Collectively and individually, they have performed for queens and
presidents, Canadian prime ministers, on Broadway, in television
productions, and at the celebrated John F. Kennedy Center for the
Performing Arts. Their careers have taken them throughout
Newfoundland and Labrador and beyond, yet they remain
passionate ambassadors for the culture, traditions, and people of
this province they proudly call home.
What makes this evening even more special is its purpose.
Three young singers who began their musical journeys at the
Memorial University School of Music are coming together on July
27 in Trinity to help raise funds for the purchase of a new fire
truck for the community. In a true spirit of generosity, Peter,
Shelley, and Petrina are donating their performance fees directly
back to the cause.

volunteers who help keep our community safe.

SINGING WITH THE STARS – VIP PRE-SHOW WORKSHOP
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM , JULY 27th | Rising Tide Theatre
Have you ever dreamed of singing on stage alongside
professional performers?
Join the stars of the evening concert for an inspiring and
interactive singing workshop designed for all experience levels.
Whether you’re a seasoned vocalist or simply someone who loves
to sing, this unique VIP experience offers the opportunity to learn
from the pros while preparing for a special performance later that
evening.
During this two-hour workshop, participants will explore vocal
techniques, harmony, stage presence, and performance tips in a
fun and supportive environment. You’ll learn songs together and
build confidence under the guidance of our featured artists.
As a special highlight, workshop participants will have the
opportunity to join the performers on stage during the evening
concert to sing one or more selections as part of the show.
Participation is entirely optional—no one will be put on the
spot—but for those who wish to take part, it’s a chance to
experience the excitement of performing before a live audience.
Since Peter, Petrina, and Shelley are currently appearing in the
acclaimed musical Come From Away in Gander, participants can
expect to learn at least one song from this beloved Newfoundland
story. Imagine sharing the Rising Tide stage with these talented
performers as part of an unforgettable evening of music,
community, and celebration.
