They have a home in the gorgeous community of English Harbour with their partner Andrew

PRODUCTION MANAGER
Cindy Kendall (she/her)

Its my 21st year at Rising Tide Theatre. I’ve learned that theatre is equal parts storytelling and trying to remember where everyone is supposed to be five minutes before Showtime! Living here means the work never really leaves you—it just follows you around in the best way. I love the humour, heart, and shared effort that come with each production. “It takes a village to raise a curtain.”

FESTIVAL COORDINATOR
Andrew Preston (he/him)

Andrew Preston is a theatre artist based out of St. John's, Newfoundland, and has been involved in productions in the St. John's community and across the province for over nine years. He has had the pleasure of working with theatre companies all over the island including Perchance Theatre, Best Kind Productions, TaDa! Events, and of course Rising Tide Theatre. This will be Andrew's fifth summer with Rising Tide in Trinity and he is so grateful for the opportunity to perform in this beautiful town once again this year!

STAGE MANAGER
Paulette Bowring (she/her)

Theatre is a verb before it is a noun, and act before it is a place... Martha Graham
While she no longer resides in Trinity year round, Paulette happily returns to the Bight each summer to reprise her role as Stage Manager at Rising Tide Theatre, a part of her world for over 25 years. This season features exciting new shows so pull up a seat and enjoy the magic.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Morgan Moakler Jessiman (she/they)

Morgan Moakler Jessiman is a communications and operations strategist originally from Ktaqmkuk. A Communications graduate from Concordia University, Morgan is focused on accessibility, equity and diversity, and has had the pleasure of working exclusively in nonprofits for their entire career. Morgan is also a multidisciplinary artist, with recent credits including being the 2023 first place winner of the WritersNL Winter E-Zine contest, choreographing Bethany Mackenzie's the land sees me, always, and was a featured performer in Seraka Dance Co's. Oceanic, and Synthesis.  In their spare time, Morgan is a serial hobbyist, learning a new skill weekly. Between sewing, woodworking and reading, Morgan’s seven animals fill their time quite perfectly.

FINANCIAL OFFICER
Lori Short (she/her)

Lori started working with Rising Tide Theatre in 2016. She lives in New Bonaventure with her husband and spends much of her time with her two daughters and her grandchildren. In her spare time, you are likely to find her enjoying summer days at her camper!

COSTUME COORDINATOR
Emma Howell (she/her)

Inspired by the natural world, Emma is a forager, frolicker, gardener and textile artist. She spends her days along the footpaths and shorelines of Trinity East where she calls home. Her love of sewing began alongside her grandma and grew into a lasting passion for quilting, mending, and garment-making. She creates pieces that are both practical and playful—made to be lived in, moved through and tell tales of their own.

SOUND TECHNICIAN
Lola Harrington Lopes (she/her)

Lola Harrington is a Brazilian sound designer based in Montreal. After two years in recording studios, she began combining her background in audio with a long-standing love of theatre. Her work is rooted in collaboration and storytelling, with a special interest in how sound shapes memory and emotion. She is very grateful to be Head of Audio for the Rising Tide Theatre Festival and excited to be making her Newfoundland debut.

BOX OFFICE
Elaine Vokey (she/her)

As a longtime box office staff , I’ve enjoyed welcoming audiences and being part of the team from behind the scenes. Outside the theatre, my greatest joy is my family, especially my grandkids. I also believe every good day is better with a cup of tea and a fresh batch of cookies.
