They have a home in the gorgeous community of English Harbour with their partner Andrew

FESTIVAL ADMINSTRATOR
Andrew Preston (he/him)

Andrew Preston is a theatre artist based out of St. John's, Newfoundland, and has been involved in productions in the St. John's community and across the province for over nine years. He has had the pleasure of working with theatre companies all over the island including Perchance Theatre, Best Kind Productions, TaDa! Events, and of course Rising Tide Theatre. This will be Andrew's fifth summer with Rising Tide in Trinity and he is so grateful for the opportunity to perform in this beautiful town once again this year!

STAGE MANAGER
Paulette Bowring (she/her)

Theatre is a verb before it is a noun, and act before it is a place... Martha Graham
While she no longer resides in Trinity year round, Paulette happily returns to the Bight each summer to reprise her role as Stage Manager at Rising Tide Theatre, a part of her world for over 25 years. This season features exciting new shows so pull up a seat and enjoy the magic.

LIGHT TECHNICIAN
Robin Peters (she/her)

Robin Peters is a theatre artist and recent graduate of the technical theatre program at Grenfell campus. After having spent the last few years exploring sound design and installation work she is excited to get back to her first love of theatre lighting. Robin has worked with Capacity Theatre Company, the Resource Center for the Arts, Stephenville Theatre Festival, and Just a Concept Productions. She is very excited to work in such a beautiful town and be part of such an institution of Newfoundland theatre.

PRODUCTION MANAGER
Cindy Kendall (she/her)

Its my 21st year at Rising Tide Theatre. I’ve learned that theatre is equal parts storytelling and trying to remember where everyone is supposed to be five minutes before Showtime! Living here means the work never really leaves you—it just follows you around in the best way. I love the humour, heart, and shared effort that come with each production. “It takes a village to raise a curtain.”

FINANCIAL OFFICER
Lori Short (she/her)

Lori started working with Rising Tide Theatre in 2016. She lives in New Bonaventure with her husband and spends much of her time with her two daughters and her grandchildren. In her spare time, you are likely to find her enjoying summer days at her camper!

COSTUME COORDINATOR
Emma Howell (she/her)

Inspired by the natural world, Emma is a forager, frolicker, gardener and textile artist. She spends her days along the footpaths and shorelines of Trinity East where she calls home. Her love of sewing began alongside her grandma and grew into a lasting passion for quilting, mending, and garment-making. She creates pieces that are both practical and playful—made to be lived in, moved through and tell tales of their own.

SOUND TECHNICIAN
Lola Harrington Lopes (she/they)

Lola Harrington is a Brazilian sound designer based in Montreal. After two years in recording studios, she began combining her background in audio with a long-standing love of theatre. Her work is rooted in collaboration and storytelling, with a special interest in how sound shapes memory and emotion. She is very grateful to be Head of Audio for the Rising Tide Theatre Festival and excited to be making her Newfoundland debut.
