Show Description:
Step into history with The Trinity Occupation, an immersive outdoor walking* performance inspired by real historical events in the town of Trinity** that brings audiences on a journey through the streets of historic Trinity. Based on the French occupation of the town, this unique theatrical experience unfolds across the very places where history once happened. As you move through Trinity’s lanes and landmarks, scenes come to life around you, blending storytelling, performance, and the natural setting into one continuous experience.
Along the way, the audience will meet interesting characters drawn from the town’s past and brought to life in the very places their stories unfolded. They will follow these characters through forbidden romances between locals and the occupying forces. Filled with moments of tension, intrigue and pride for the place they call home, The Trinity Occupation offers a vivid glimpse into a defining chapter of Trinity's past. This story is revealed piece by piece as you travel through the town, creating an experience that is as engaging as it is informative.
Both an exploration of Trinity and an immersive performance, The Trinity Occupation invites you to see Trinity in a new way, where history isn’t just remembered, but lived!
* - This is a walking performance that takes place outdoors. Audience members should be prepared to be on their feet for the duration of the show and are encouraged to wear comfortable footwear and dress appropriately for weather conditions.
** - Please be aware that a ticket to this performance does not include access to the interior of the buildings pictured above, with the exception of St. Paul's Church in which part of the performance takes place.
